If the application complies with the requirements of the Design Law and a fee for the service has been paid, the average duration registration procedure shall be five working days.
The owner of a design or the representative.
The owner of a design may transfer the ownership rights to the design to another person together with the undertaking or a part thereof that uses such design, or independently from such undertaking.
Submission of the application
An appropriate application, a document certifying the transfer of rights have to be submitted and the specified fee has to be paid
Change of design owner and publication
The Patent Office shall include information in the Register of Designs about the change of the owner of a registered design and publish it in the Official Gazette, as well as send a notification to the owner (owners) regarding the amendments made in the Register.

The application can be submitted using E-service, E-address or e-mail address pasts@lrpv.gov.lv, if the application is signed with a secure electronic signature (if the application does not contain special categories of personal data), as well as in person.
