Patentu valdes  direktors Agris Batalauskis pasniedz balvu Iļjam Krūmiņam no Gamechanger

On 5 March, at the Xiaomi Arena in Riga, the laureates of the GAMMA music industry award in 31 categories were announced during a formal ceremony honouring the most outstanding musical achievements of 2025 in Latvia. The Latvian Patent Office (LPO) presented the award in the category “Innovation of the Year in Music Technology”.

The winner in this category was determined by the LPO, and the award to the company “Gamechanger Audio” was presented by the LPO Director, Agris Batalauskis.

“Gamechanger Audio” is a music technology company founded in Latvia that develops and manufactures innovative audio devices for musicians, such as guitar effects pedals and synthesisers. The company aims to create new and unusual sound effects using original technologies and design solutions. Their products are used by musicians worldwide, and the company has become recognised within the international music industry.

When selecting the winner for the category “Innovation of the Year in Music Technology”, criteria such as uniqueness, originality, creativity, technological development and excellence, as well as product commercialisation, impact on the music industry, and intellectual property strategy and protection were considered.

The GAMMA award honours both artists and industry professionals whose work has shaped and advanced Latvian music. The award combines industry data with the assessments of a broad jury comprising artists, authors, industry experts and music enthusiasts, highlighting the most significant achievements throughout 2025.

More than 150 jury members ensured a diverse and high‑quality evaluation process. The GAMMA Jury Council oversaw the objectivity of the process.
