A symbol of movement and never ending change – the “Flow” trademark
Dream Well Studio is a 3D animation studio founded in Riga in 2019. The company’s core activity relates to the production of animated films by Gints Zilbalodis. "Straume", or "Flow", is not only the most internationally recognised animated film originating from Latvia and a recipient of the Academy Award “Oscar” but also a registered figurative trademark.
The trademark has been designed as a universal, internationally intelligible symbol reflecting motion, fluidity, and a sense of constant transformation. It originated as the title of the film, but over time it has evolved into a broader creative identity that also characterises the central idea of the story – collaboration, trust, and the ability to adapt to a changing world.
“The FLOW brand thus symbolises not only a story of survival in a changing world, but also a deeper idea of togetherness, trust, and moving forward regardless of language or culture. It is both a story and a symbol intended for everyone and everywhere in the world,” emphasises Dream Well Studio.

“MARKETING SHAKE” – a trademark denoting a multi‑layered and carefully crafted set of experiences
Marking the 9th anniversary of the “Marketing Shake” platform, the company "WE ARE VERY" has registered a trademark of the same name this year.
“Marketing Shake” is an original project created by the agency – a platform for marketing and communication professionals, within which educational and inspiring events are organised, alongside the creation of industry content and a professional community. Although the most visible element is the festival, which annually brings together more than 40 speakers and curious professional representatives of the field, the platform serves as a valuable source of daily professional development.
“The registered trademark "Marketing Shake" consists of two components. "Marketing" denotes the professional field of marketing and communication. "Shake" refers to a cocktail – a multi‑layered and carefully crafted set of experiences,” explains forum organiser Zanda Šķēle.
The Intellectual Property Award “Trademark of the Year”, organised by the LPO, is conducted in two stages. First, experienced LPO experts select, on a quarterly basis, four trade marks for the nomination “Trademark of the Year for Latvia” and four trade marks for the nomination “Trademark of the Year for the European Union” which are then put forward for assessment in the second stage.
The winners in both nominations of “Trademark of the Year 2026” will be selected from 16 trademarks registered at the LPO through the national procedure and 16 trademarks registered at the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
