On Saturday, 6 December, a traditional student enterprise trade fair “CITS BAZĀRS ziemā” (Another Bazaar in Winter) organised by Junior Achievement Latvia (JA Latvia) took place at Domina shopping mall, where students' offers and innovative solutions were assessed also by the Latvian Patent Office (LPO).
In total, more than 270 student enterprises from all over Latvia participated in the fair, representing both primary and secondary schools. Students offered products and services in various categories, such as interior and design items, Christmas goods, clothing, accessories and jewellery, cosmetics, games and toys for children, electronics, and online services.
LPO Director Agris Batalauskis and Director of the Development and International Cooperation Department Ilze Grava took part in a jury's work determining the winners in the category "Knowledge-based product/service".
In the primary school group, the award was received by the student enterprise "Coalition" from Daugavpils Saskaņas Primary School for the charcoal soap with a scrub effect.
In the secondary school group, the highest rating was received by the student enterprise "Cream On" from Madona State Gymnasium for a beef fat face cream for moisturizing, nourishing, and protecting the skin.
The LPO's participation in the student enterprise trade fair “CITS BAZĀRS ziemā” (Another Bazaar in Winter) was supported by the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
