On Friday, 19 September, in order to promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences in the field of intellectual property (IP), Director of the Patent Office of the Republic of Latvia (LPO) Agris Batalauskis signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Intellectual Property Office of Ireland (IPOI).
The signature of the MoU between the LPO and the IPOI confirms the commitment of both countries to build closer cooperation in the field of IP.
The MoU provides for the exchange of information and experience in the following areas:
- effective communication and public awareness;
- use of sustainable platforms and other means of disseminating information to reach a wider public in order to foster the involvement of small and medium-sized enterprises;
- development and implementation of IT solutions intended for users of IP system;
- indicators used to evaluate productivity and performance;
- provision of high-quality and excellent customer service.
The MoU enters into force on the date of signature.
